Had I remained there, I would have become more involved and run for the board. I always suspected Clearview of corruption. If not, you will get a $25 fine and eviction proceeding if the dog isn't removed: What happens if you bring a small dog? If you are on the board or know someone who is, you can do what you like (I have seen board members walking dogs). I know this because I live here, and I am simply a fellow shareholder who came upon this blog and was totally shocked by the idiocy of a few- whom apparently are too dumb to realize that the same prospective buyers they may try and sell their co-op to have probably read this. Is everything perfect? No, as that is also an impossibility, as is clear by the previous ravings of a select few - but it is one of the best deals you can get and the resale figures prove that Clearview is a good & worthy investment that will reward the buyer with its sound finances in years to come. How would you do any better? Basically, that would be impossible- try owning a house in Whitestone and you'll be paying six times plus the same amount without the use of getting repairs fixed for free in one phone call!Ĭlearview Gardens Co-op is a very nice place to live and is a sound investment for anyone that has kids- best school district in all of NYC- as well as beautiful parks within walking/biking distance and express bus service to midtown Manhattan. Everything -everywhere- has gone up in price- but don't forget that you get: deeply discounted Time Warner Cable rates due to bulk buying heat, hot water, electricity, sanitation, landscaping, snow removal, plumbers, electricians, handymen that'll repair anything in your apartment & 24/7 security as well as real estate taxes that are ALL INCLUDED in your monthly maintenance, which is actually VERY reasonable!! The previous posters are crazy, miserable and lazy!! I've lived here for over 10 years and the staff is responsive & polite as long as you don't scream/rant/rave and act like a civilized person! If there's garbage in your courtyard- CLEAN it up!! Would it kill you to take some pride, maybe you'll loose a pound or two and get the gratification of living in a very nice, financially sound and reasonable Co-op. There is constant activity and sales, currently I am showing 28 available listings (combined 1,2 bedrooms). The inventory for this particular development never runs stagnate. 184, which are highly rated schools in District 25. The school district that Clearview is zoned for is P.S. The maintenance fee that is set for each unit does of course vary with the size of the apartments, but with all units fees include the taxes ( 40% tax deductible), heat, water, electric, gas and security. There are laundry room facilities ( you can have a washer and dryer in your own unit), storage rooms and children's play areas situated throughout the community. 5½ rooms are the 3 bedrooms - which are of course the largest unit - NONE avail.Ĭlearview does have garages ( although you are on a waiting list, - trust me, don't hold your breath) so you are better off with the outdoor parking spots available on the premises.5 rooms is also two bedrooms- but a larger living room - Starting at $240,000.00.4½ rooms which is two bedrooms - Starting at $189,000.
